Registration Is Open For The 2026-2027 CBS Bible Study

The year will start on Sept. 3rd 2026 with a 6-week study in the Book Of James. James is one of the most practical books in the Bible. This course’s lessons encourage each class participant to lead a more consistent, caring Christian life and to explore the practical application of faith in family and society. We will look at the theme of faith with the emphasis on what faith produces. Faith is the cause of salvation and works are the result of salvation.

We will follow up James with a 24-lesson study of the Book of Genesis, chapters 1-22. Although Genesis is an ancient book, it speaks to some of the biggest questions we have today: Is there a God? If so, what is He like? Why is there evil in the world? Why are we here, and where can we find purpose and hope? In this course, participants will learn how God created a beautiful world and gave people a noble calling in His creation. We will also learn how our world was fractured by human rebellion (sin) and how in the Book of Genesis we see the beginnings of God’s plan of salvation by Grace through Faith in God the Son, Jesus the Messiah.

We meet at Bethany Church Of Weddington, 4301 Beulah Church Rd, Weddington, NC 28104. At 7:00 p.m. we gather for a song and/or short opening before breaking into Core Groups for 45-50 minutes to discuss the week's lesson. We then gather together for a live teaching message, finishing by 8:30 pm. Our in-person core groups are primarily Co-Ed; however, we do also offer Women-only and Men-only Core Groups.

We also offer 3 separate Online Core Groups that will meet Monday evenings (CO-ED) from 7:00-8:30 starting on September 7th; Thursday mornings (WOMEN) from 9:30-11:00; and Thursday evenings (WOMEN) from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. starting on September 10th.

Currently Studying: James, Genesis

The Books of James (6 lessons) and Genesis Chapters 1-22 (24 lessons) will be studied starting Thursday, September 3, 2026. Registration is open.

Next Gen Ministry

Through a variety of activities (focused on really getting into the Bible so the Bible so that the Bible can get into our children), we seek to provide a welcoming and engaging environment where the next generation can learn about Jesus. Our NextGen curriculum is aligned with the adult class, so that parents and their children may study the same book(s) of the Bible, enabling parents additional opportunities to assist their children in living out God’s truths in their lives. Available for 5th-12th grades.
